Active Minds at Ramapo hosted a "Wellness Wish" event during which students could create their wellness wishes on paper leaves that the chapter made into an entire Wellness Tree. Over 100 students, staff and administrators signed wellness leaves and Active Minds has received requests to host another Wellness Wish event for the spring.

Active Minds at Oregon State collaborated with and presented at their school's diversity summit which was widely attended by the student body and community members. Their chapter presented on mental health as a social justice issue and how they are part of the social justice movement as well as the national Active Minds movement.

Active Minds at Flagler hosted "Inside the Bully-Eye: Evolution of a Bully" with a panel of professors and author Dr. Carl Horner. This program focused on how a person becomes a bully and how they can receive help for this harmful behavior.

Collaborating with other student organizations, Active Minds at Oberlin hosted "Inner Peace meets Outer Peace," a spoken word, poetry, and hip-hop event. Participants had fun while engaging in performances that highlighted the connections between outside peace and the influence it has on inner wellness.

While tabling their stress-free events, Active Minds at Emory invited students to write down positive experiences that happened during that week to share with others. Students also wrote what stressed them out on other sheets of paper and then ripped them into pieces to physically release their stress. The chapter also gave participants stress balls and information on stress-relief.

On their first day of finals week, Active Minds at Southern Connecticut held a "Free Hugs Day," providing soothing embraces to stressed-out students. Not only did the event provide finals stress-relief, but the chapter had to bring in extra huggers for the event and got some new members from their volunteers!

They had a massage therapist from a local spa come by to give students complimentary massages during their Stress Relief event as the chapter shared information about stress prevention, relief and healthy tips for students.

Active Minds at St. Ambrose University participated in 'Welcome Week' by partnering with the health center and Pampered Chef. They did presentations on mental health and physical health, and Pampered Chef held a microwave cooking demo on how to eat healthy in college. They had a great turnout!

For Suicide Prevention Week, Active Minds at UConn displayed 1,100 yellow flags to honor college students that die by suicide annually and participated in an interactive art exhibit where students shared the ways in which suicide affects their lives. Read about it in The Daily Campus.
